I've got a virus that in its early stages popped up with 'windows antivirus pro' but that has long gone. Since then my rundll32 file is corrupt and I cant run any .exe files which means I cant use stuff downloaded from the internet either. When I type in a search into a search engine (yahoo, google) And click on 1 of the links, it redirects me to random pages with a blue 2 in the left hand corner of the address bar where webpage icons normally go. I do not have a XP CD so I cant reinstall windows and I want to keep my files anyway. I dont care about my programs though (can always be reinstalled). I mean, its 2009. My 'searchables' index peaks out when well-known search engines phantom criteria. I am trying to determine how many of various types of files there are on the net, specifically files like .dtd and .disco and some others. The filetype:dtd on Google doesn't work that well and you get lots of other stuff, Yahoo doesn't seem to be much better. If there another way to ask the search engines?
